BEAR Solutions sponsored the VALA2010 for the Notepad and Pens for the 950 plus Delegates.
BEAR Solutions exhibited their computer booking solutions, copier terminals, print release stations, WebRemote, coin and note reloader plus the Point of Sale System.
The delegates arrived from all around Australia, they were from Public Libraries, State Libraries, Specialist Libraries and Education Libraries, in total there were over 950 attendees with over 90 Exhibitors. The Delegates were truly encapsulated by the conversation which they had with the exhibitors in relation to their own personal situations.
The visitors to the BEAR stand were well informed with products on display, the brochure packs and the hands on demonstrations. The focus was on the use of a single ID card solution for the use of their patrons, and the facilities which are provided to the end user.
The use of a single ID card solution has been designed to assist in a “User Pays” System that allows the library to better manage their expenditures, costs and management of their equipment costs, for the patrons whilst providing a seamless service and experience when visiting their library.
The Delegates were welcomed by the Committee of VALA 2010 with the theme of connection, content and Conversation. Each Delegate had the opportunity to speak with the exhibitors over the three day conference.
The general theme from the delegate was that there was plenty of discussion, opportunity within their business to improve the services which they provide to their patrons. Many of the delegates took the opportunity as they had their satchels full of information, Data and knowledge base that allow them to put plans into action for the year ahead.
The information, discussion in the written form, lead to much discussion and many questions that needed to be answered, the theme of these conversations were
1 How will it benefit our business?
2 How will it benefit our Patrons?
3 How will it improve our services?
Obviously we need to have further discussions with the delegates and visit their site to discuss their particular situation at some stage in the future.
The delegate who visited the BEARS Stand came from many different environments, all searching for answers that would meet their needs.
- Delegates wanted to know who is BEAR Solutions and What is it that we do?
- The delegates who already use BEAR Products today are looking for what else can we offer their Library?
- Delegates who have heard of BEARS but would like to know how we can assist them in their unique situation?
VALA 2010 has given BEAR Solutions the opportunity to create new contacts, enhance the relationship with existing Clients and created an insight into the BEAR Solutions family of products that we can offer our potential and existing client base.
In general BEAR Solutions were very welcomed at the VALA 2010 conference, as the sponsor of the Note Pad and Pen component of VALA 2010, these items were very well received and the delegates were very appreciative of these products.
We look forward to future involvement with VALA and the committee and the partnership that they provide.
