Ricoh Embedded eCMSIP Interface

BEAR Solutions announces the pending release of our CMSIP Ricoh interface using the Ricoh Embedded Software Architecture. We are just finalising the beta testing and expecting to be production ready for the March 2011. The release of the Ricoh interface is the 1st embedded solution release under the new eCMSIP architecture designed specifically for embedded platforms.

The eCMSIP interface on Ricoh devices enables a direct replacement for external card reader controllers. Users logon by swiping or badging their user ID card through a USB card reader or via network ID. Once authenticated users can access the features of the eCMSIP Ricoh interface including Print Anyware (follow me) printing. The Ricoh eCMSIP v1.0 embdedd interface supports:

  • Print release via Print Anyware including print one, print all or delete
  • Simple copy control providing pre-selection of colour/black and white, simplex/duplex or paper size
  • Copy charges through the full Ricoh copy interface
  • Account balance display
  • Copying, scanning and fax charging to personal or shared accounts for  grants, departments and other similar cost-centers managed by CMSIP
  • Optional print account selection at the user workstation via pop up or at the Ricoh MFD providing a zero client workstation installation option

The Ricoh ESA eCMSIP solution supports education, library, government and corporate markets.

    eCMSIP stands for embedded CMSIP. BEAR embeddeds its authication, print release and control services into the MFP touch screen.
