Not knowing too much about the format I decided some research was in order. At a basic level its a document format that does not allow [...]

Nathans update!

by: Kier Morrison | in: BEAR News, Blogs, Sales Team | on: 02/08/2010

The new BEARS CMSIP 1060 terminal has been installed in Queensland with a rollout of 25 terminals on various MFD’s and Plotters including Xerox/Toshiba & Cannon.  They are currently used for SecurePrint & follow me printing to help achieve Green ratings and cost savings from wasted print jobs that are not collected or taken away with other print jobs by another user.  Implementation was done over a long weekend with a big thanks to Scott Menzies who ensured that everything was up and running before the Tuesday go live.

Another rollout saw 34 Xerox MFD’s & BEARS terminals being installed at Redland City Council. This was the first major rollout Scott had been involved with and it was great that all feedback I received about his work was excellent. Part of this installation required customised import scripts for user information from a corporate directory which was done via SQL. It was also good to work with Fuji Xerox in this project where time was short but everything fell into place.

Scott has been a great addition to the Queensland team with plenty of enthusiasm and a drive to ensure that everything he can think of has been done to ensure a smooth transition from installation to a live service. He has been involved in rollouts & installations of many of BEARS offerings with the above new terminals rollout & Redland City Council being just some of them. This has made the transition to my new role a much better experience because he has picked it up so quickly(Although I still receive a few phone calls asking how to do thingsJ).
